Biography

Gianluca Conca (7 May 1991) is an Italian filmmaker. His innate passion for cinema and music is deep rooted and rides along with him as he can remember. Even as a child, he would “shoot,” “edit,” and “score” films completely unconsciously, complete with opening logos, closing credits, and timed duration using any means at his disposal, whether it was his imagination or boxes full of Lego bricks. Graduated in “Arts, Music, and Entertainment Disciplines”, with training in various music academies, he has shaped his career by taking on multiple roles as a director, screenwriter, music composer, and producer, specializing in editing and post-production, earning awards and recognition from Europe to the USA. Traveling overseas, he has forged creative connections with renowned international figures and works extensively with productions such as Disney, Warner, Universal, Sony. From the production of numerous successful short films, his first feature film as an editor was “Sharks”, starring Lorenzo Zurzolo and James Franco. He also edited and supervised the series “Clan” for Rai and Netflix. In addition to commercials and globally distributed campaigns, he has created iconic music videos in the industry, collaborating with artists such as Måneskin, Laura Pausini, Ultimo, Jovanotti, Marco Mengoni, Tommaso Paradiso, Achille Lauro, Salmo, Blanco, Coez, Elisa, Gaia, The Kolors and many others. Ambitious and dreamer, his artistic language translates, primarily expressed through editing, in the creation of bold narratives, that intertwine with the psychology exploring the human mind and the philosophies pursuing the laws of the universe, and that without fear, rules or limits move through time and infinity like 'fragments' of emotions, memories and dreams.
