Overview
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, an absorbing examination of the events that followed. 1945: Germany is beaten but the struggle for the country's soul is only just beginning. First-hand testimony re-creates the experiences, both traumatic and triumphant, of occupiers and occupied in the long reconstruction process.
