Legal
Terms
The deal between you and Vescene.
Last updated 26 July 2026
Who you are agreeing with
Vescene is operated by Jonas Blendstrup Rasmussen. By creating an account or using the website or app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. Questions go to support@vescene.com.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google — we never hold a password for you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must be at least 13 years old to have one. Keep your handle and profile free of impersonation: pretending to be someone else is grounds for removal.
What you post stays yours
Your ratings, reviews, lists, and messages are your content. You keep ownership of them. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service — to store your content, show it to the people you have chosen to show it to, and serve it publicly where you have marked it public. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
How to behave
Vescene has reviews, messages, and shared lists, so it has all the usual ways to be unpleasant to people. Do not:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or organise others to do it.
- Post hateful content targeting people for who they are.
- Post sexual content involving minors, or anything else illegal — this ends the account immediately and may be reported to authorities.
- Spam, scrape, or run automated collection against the service.
- Impersonate other people, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Attack the service: probe for vulnerabilities without permission, bypass rate limits, or attempt to reach data that is not yours.
Every profile, review, list, and message has a report control, and you can block or mute anyone. Reports are reviewed and we remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. If you think we got it wrong, email us and say so.
Catalog data is not ours
Film and series information comes from TMDB, aggregate critic scores from OMDb, and streaming availability from JustWatch. Those are their data, used under their terms, and credited on every page that shows them. Availability in particular is a best effort — it changes region by region and day by day, and we do not guarantee that what we show is what you will find when you open the app. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
What we do not promise
Vescene is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that recommendations or taste-match scores will be accurate or flattering, or that data from third-party catalogs will be correct. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Danish or EU law, including your statutory rights of withdrawal and complaint.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account; you get a 30-day window to change your mind before it becomes permanent. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless doing so would be unlawful. If we discontinue the service, we will give notice with enough time to export your data.
Changes and governing law
We will announce material changes in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by Danish law, and the courts of Denmark have jurisdiction — this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
