Overview
Los Angeles high school student Jose Lopez wants to enroll in Adv. Placement Biology, but the school's rigid guidance counselor is adamant in her refusal. Undeterred, he begs his hard-working mom Maria to confront the counselor, resulting in a heart-wrenching face off.
