Biography
Popi Alva (real name: Meropi Christodoulou) was a Greek actress. She was born in Zagori, Epirus in 1915. A personality of light musical theater. She had studied at a ballet school and appeared on stage at a very young age. She excelled in the revue Silhouette (Samartzis Theater, 1939) and since then she has taken on many "numerist" roles in revues and comedies, collaborating with occupation and post-war troupes. She had her own troupe with Nikos Stavridis. (Source: greekactor)
