Biography
Darren is a composer for film, television, and video games. He recently composed the score for horror feature Stupid Games which premiered at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles, as well as The Ghosts of Borley Rectory, starring Colin Baker and Toyah Willcox. Some of Darren’s other credits include supernatural horror short film On Air, which was selected for FrightFest, Nevermore 2021 film festivals, and more recently composing the music for documentary John Glen: Bond & Beyond, directed by Richard Edwards. Originally starting out his music career by playing guitar in bands and as a solo artist Darren then had his start in film by assisting composers S. Peace Nistades on Rock Jocks, starring Felicia Day and The Wicked directed by Peter Winther, as well as award-winning composer George Kallis, for whom he wrote additional music for action film Operator, starring Ving Rhames and Misha Barton, Sony Pictures' Apple of My Eye and co-composed the score for martial arts action film Call Me King. Darren was also selected to take part in the BFI Network x BAFTA crew programme for 2019-2021, and more recently was accepted as a BAFTA Connect Member.
