Biography

Kevin is a writer and director based in Berlin and Ludwigsburg. Born in Munich, he grew up in the countryside near Lake Constance. Following social art projects in Indonesia and the Philippines, Kevin studied Media Science and Applied Media at the University of Bayreuth. Since 2020, he has been studying directing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. During his studies, he attended the film school La Fémis in Paris as part of an exchange program. His French-German co-production PRINCE DE LA VILLE (2024) celebrated its world premiere at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival and its German premiere at the 58th International Hof Film Festival. The film has since screened at Uppsala Short Film Festival, among others, and received a nomination for the Young C. Award at Civis Mediaprize 2025. OUT OF THE BLUE (2025), directed by Kevin within the framework of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris and co-produced by SWR and ARTE, premiered at the 59th International Hof Film Festival 2025, followed by a screening at Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis 2026. His latest short film MOTHER OF A SON (2026), co-produced with SWR, celebrated its world premiere at 48th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in the International Competition in 2026. Kevin is currently writing his first feature film DOGWHISTLE (WT), which has been selected for the Cutting Edge Talent Camp 2025 for early-stage script development. Furthermore, he will develop the script at LIM² | Less is more 2026 alongside 15 other directors from all over Europe.
