Afroz Nawaf is a Dubai-based creative director, producer, and educator known for crafting stories that merge cinematic artistry with global cultural impact. As one of the few worldwide evangelists for Blackmagic Design, he is a recognized authority in production and post-production workflows, training filmmakers and studios on cutting-edge tools that power some of the world’s most iconic visual narratives. His portfolio includes collaborations on major franchises such as Fantastic Beasts, Aquaman, Batman, and Minions through partnerships with Warner Bros. Middle East, Universal Brand Development, and acclaimed author Stephen King. Afroz has also directed and produced celebrated campaigns for global brands like Sephora, Mercedes-Benz, Sony, Hewlett Packard, Emirates Airlines, and National Geographic—work noted for its emotional resonance, innovation, and visual storytelling. As the founder of MDX Studios, the regions best film school at Middlesex University Dubai, Afroz has redefined film education in the Middle East, building a creative hub where emerging filmmakers are mentored to push boundaries and tell stories with global relevance. Recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in the UK, he continues to shape the next generation of creative leaders.
