Biography

Born in the Philippines on 22 May, 2004, Ziehl "Neelsen" Raqueño Bugayong is an Edmonton, Alberta based artist and Filmmaker with talents specializing in animation, directing, and visual effects. He began showing an interest in filmmaking at 10 years old with stop motion animation. From there, he developed an interest in compositing, editing, and finally directing. He has done visual effects for many pictures, such as the "Pass the Bottle" for The 48 Hour Film Festival in Winnepeg, and the award winning Edmonton 48 Hour Short Film Festival entry, "Through the Little Door" (2025). He has also gained recognition as President of the Animation Club division for the University of Alberta Film Society and is currently the Filmmaking Coordinator. He has also worked as a camera operator and storyboard artist for other films such "Sucker-Punch" (2026) and acted in for 'Le Idiot Magicien' franchise.
