Marie Rock-Hervieux

Marie Rock Hervieux is from the Innu nation and was born in Pessamit. She is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, she has been composing, producing and distributing art since she was young. It was in 2018 that painting saved her life: it allowed her to externalize herself and begin a process of healing her intergenerational traumas. As an artist, she lets the fight for Indigenous and women's rights and against stigma and discrimination on mental health shine through in her abstract works. She is interested in digital art and began teaching herself about graphic design in 2022. She creates videos, photos, graphics, information resources and distributes them on various channels such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. It was that same year that she began to be approached by a few local and external companies. Since then, this art form has become one of her main forms of expression.
