Biography
Douglas Luiz FC (São Paulo, October 23, 1991) is a Brazilian filmmaker with a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi. He is currently studying Audio and Video Production at ETEC Jornalista Roberto Marinho, where he also completed a technical course in Multimedia — his first introduction to visual and digital languages that he later deepened in cinema. His first Super-8 project, the short film Amaterasu 天の岩戸 (2016), received awards at the Super Off – International Super-8 Film Festival and the Curta8 – International Super-8 Film Festival. As an editor, he worked on the documentary O Sol de Grassmann (2017) and the short film A Saudade de Iraci (2018), his final course project. In 2025, he produced the documentary short Sou Jazz, which highlights musicians from the Paraisópolis community. That same year, he expanded into digital audiovisual media by producing the independent podcast Só Pavê, aimed at audiovisual creators, which addresses cultural and social topics with lightness and humor.
