Biography

Aarón Vizcaíno is a young Mexican filmmaker whose focus lies in the creation of intimate and reflective cinema. His work as a director and screenwriter has placed a special emphasis on the way soundscapes are created to converse directly with the image, whether through synchrony or counterpoint. He has worked closely with Ana Cecilia Sandoval, forming a filmmaking duo with whom he co-wrote the screenplay for Toque Reglamentario (2025)—a short film that premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival and screened at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Together, they also co-directed Ciertas Noches (2026) and ¿Dónde están las cabras? (2026).
