Feature Animation, where he supervised on the original Space Jam movie. James then moved to DreamWorks, supervising on their four traditionally animated features: Prince of Egypt, Road to El Dorado, Spirit, and Sinbad. James’s next move was to Sony Pictures Animation, to head up their layout department, working on films including The Polar Express, Open Season, Surf’s Up, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania, and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Following this, James once again relocated, this time to the east coast, to BlueSky studios in Greenwich, Connecticut, where he was Head of Layout on Spies in Disguise, and Nimona.
