K. Achuthanth's worked as an editor in films in Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada. Achuthan's career in as an instinct to his brother, Sankunni, the editor. Achuthan gains from Kannada films. He is the editor of the Kannada actor Rajkumar's Old Films. Achuthan is the Karnataka government's best editor for the award for the Kannada film Bangaru Manushya.
