Season 1

Tommy Walsh presents this 10-part season following the progress of four families who are trying to increase the space in their homes and the brave builders who are taking the challenge on. One of the families decide to convert their garage; another turns a basement to a gym.

   When a disused basement is converted into a hi-tech gym, Tommy's expertise is called on to keep it fresh and free from damp. There's also a visit to a North Devon swimming pool & spa extension.

   Tommy meets a man from Plymouth who has decided to build his own kitchen extension. They both make a start on laying and digging the foundations. Tommy also visits a Gothic Bath conservatory.

   Back in Plymouth, Tommy revisits the kitchen extension to see how the project is progressing and talks through drainage, guttering and soakaways. There's also a visit to a first floor Devon building project.

    Tommy makes his final visit to the kitchen extension where he shows off his patio laying skills, plus a bungalow is converted into a house.
